KELAYAKAN PENGGUNAANCOMPLETE FEED BERBASIS JERAMI PADI AMOFER PADA PETERNAKAN SAPI POTONG

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh pemberian complete feed (CF) berbasis jerami padi amofer terhadap jumlah konsumsi bahan kering (BK), pertambahan bobot badan harian (PBBH), income overfeed cost (IOFC) dan kelayakan CF yang meliputi revenue cost (R/C), return on investment (ROI) dan pendapatan bersih. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Mixed Farming Kabupaten Blora pada bulan April–Oktober 2007. Materi penelitian berupa sapi potong Peranakan Simmental, ransum CF dan pakan konvensional. Sejumlah 20 ekor sapi dipilih melalui simple random sampling kemudian dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok: T0 (kontrol) mendapat pakan konvensional; T1 diberi CF 11%; T2 12%; T3 13%; dan T4 14% PK dengan 12% TDN selama 56 hari, dan dilakukan pengamatan terhadap jumlah konsumsi BK dan PBBH. Rancangan percobaannya menggunakan RAL, data dianalisis dengan analisis sidik ragam, selanjutnya dievaluasi kelayakan penggunaan CF dengan menghitung R/C, ROI dan pendapatan bersih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jumlah konsumsi BK antara kelompok perlakuan dengan kontrol tidak berbeda nyata. Perbedaan signifikan ditunjukkan pada PBBH dan IOFC. Rerata PBBH tertinggi dihasilkan oleh T2: 1,54 kg/hari/ekor dan terendah T4: 1,28 kg/hari/ekor. IOFC paling besar pada T1= Rp.18.391,14 dan paling sedikit T4= Rp.14.872,74. Kelayakan pakan tertinggi pada T1 dengan R/C= 2,3, ROI= 568% dan pendapatan bersih Rp.802.218/ekor/56 hari, terendah T4 dengan R/C= 2,0, ROI= 433% dan pendapatan bersih Rp.601.302,-/ekor/56 hari. Kesimpulannya penggunaan CF pada penggemukan sapi potong terbukti lebih layak karena kemampuan investasinya lebih tinggi dan menghasilkan pendapatan bersih yang lebih besar dibanding pakan konvensional.

ABSTRACT

This study was conducted to evaluate effects of complete feed (CF) based on fermented-ammoniated rice straw to dry matter intake (DMI), average daily gain (ADG), income overfeed cost (IOFC) and feasibility of CF which consist of revenue cost (R/C), return on investment (ROI) and net income. The research was done on Mixed Farming at Blora regency in April–October 2007. Research materials were Simmental-crossbred beef cattle, CF diet and conventional feed. Amount of 20 beef cattle was selected through simple random sampling then was divided into 5 groups: T0 (control) was gets conventional feed; T1 was given CF 11%; T2 12%; T3 13%; and T4 14% CP with 12% TDN during 56 days, and was done observation to DMI and ADG. The design used completely randomized design (CRD), the data was analyzed with ANOVA. Usage feasibility of CF was evaluated through calculated of IOFC, R/C, ROI and net income. The results showed there were no significantly difference on DMI between groups of treatment and control. Significantly difference in ADG and IOFC. Average highest ADG was T2: 1.54 kg/d/head and lowest was T4: 1.28 kg/d/head. Biggest of IOFC on T1= Rp.18,391.14 and lowest T4= Rp.14,872.74. Highest of feed feasibility on T1 with R/C= 2.3, ROI= 568% and net income Rp.802,218/head/56 days, lowest was T4 with R/C= 2.0, ROI= 433% and net income Rp.601,302,-/head/56 days. Conclusion: utilization of CF on beef cattle was more usable because higher investment and net income compare with conventional feed.
